Description For Software Development Engineer, DataSync

Join AWS DataSync, a dynamic team within Amazon Web Services focused on revolutionizing data movement to and within the cloud. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be part of the fastest-growing division of Amazon, serving millions of requests per second with sub-second latency. AWS DataSync is a critical service that enables quick, secure, and reliable file and object data movement, supporting customer migration initiatives and business continuity objectives.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a creative and talented team in Boston's Seaport District. You'll contribute to building world-class, scalable systems that serve customers wherever their data resides: on-premises, at the edge, in other clouds, or in AWS. The team values work-life balance and fosters an inclusive culture aligned with Amazon's 14 Leadership Principles.

As part of the Utility Computing (UC) organization, you'll work alongside teams responsible for foundational services like S3 and EC2. The position offers extensive mentorship opportunities, thorough code reviews, and a supportive environment that celebrates knowledge sharing. You'll have the chance to grow your technical expertise while working on systems that have real customer impact.

The team embraces diversity and provides comprehensive support for new members, regardless of their experience level or background. You'll find a collaborative atmosphere where continuous learning is encouraged, and career development is prioritized. The role combines technical challenges with professional growth opportunities, all while contributing to a service that's fundamental to AWS's cloud infrastructure.
