Software Development Engineer, Defensive Security Solutions

Amazon Stores Security is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their Defensive Security Engineering team. This role focuses on building next-generation mission-critical applications that enable security management teams globally. The position involves working with hyper-scale data applications and the latest AWS technologies to keep Amazon's various divisions secure.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building always-online systems at scale and have an entrepreneurial spirit to take technical risks and experiment with new methods. You'll work with technologies like AWS S3, Lambda, SQS, Fargate/ECS, EMR, and Spark, developing features in Kotlin/Java.

Daily responsibilities include system/software design, AWS configuration, feature development, strategic planning, and collaboration with security teams worldwide. The role offers opportunities to shape team processes, influence outcomes, and work directly with Senior Amazon Leadership.
