Software Development Engineer, Devices Retail Inventory and Financial Record Keeping Technology (DRIFT)

Amazon's DRIFT team is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to help expand their global offline reach and build best-in-class solutions for the devices business. This role involves working on the offline fulfillment channel, including ordering, inventory management, promotions, and returns for Amazon's Devices business worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

• Writing high-quality distributed system software
• Extensive work with AWS technologies
• Launching new, high-impact programs to reduce logistics costs and increase unit sales
• Performing development and maintenance of key system features
• Driving best practices and engineering excellence
• Working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Establishing architectural principles and mentoring team members

A typical day involves:

• Participating in Scrum reviews
• Designing and developing features to extend current software and create new services
• Full-stack development
• Collaborating across the organization
• Helping set the direction for future Devices fulfillment solutions
