Software Development Engineer, Efficiency & Performance, Alloy

Amazon's Alloy team is a central efficiency team focused on driving cost savings across Amazon's vast service infrastructure. The team has a proven track record of saving hundreds of millions of dollars annually through efficient AWS resource utilization. As a Software Development Engineer on the Alloy team, you'll work on complex technical challenges that span Amazon's entire ecosystem, focusing on performance optimization and cost efficiency.

The role combines technical depth with significant business impact, working directly with Principal Engineers and Distinguished Engineers. You'll be part of a new central Performance Engineering team expanding from hardware utilization to software optimization, including profiling, library upgrades, and resource pool management. The team is also expanding into storage resource optimization and building infrastructure for GPU resource sharing.
