Software Development Engineer (Fall) Intern, Student Veteran Opportunity

Amazon is offering a unique fall internship opportunity specifically designed for U.S. military veterans, including those who served in the Reserves, National Guard, and military spouses. This 12-week, full-time internship program allows participants to work on impactful projects within one of the world's most customer-obsessed companies.

As an intern, you'll be paired with both a manager and mentor, working alongside experienced software development engineers (SDEs) on projects that directly impact Amazon's customers. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to complex technical challenges in areas such as distributed systems, data mining, automation, optimization, scalability, and security.

The internship provides hands-on experience with Amazon's cutting-edge technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS). You'll work in an agile environment, designing and building innovative solutions for large-scale distributed computing challenges. The program emphasizes both technical and professional growth, offering opportunities to network with other interns and engage with Amazonians across the organization.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $99,500 to $200,000 per year (prorated for internship duration) depending on geographic location, plus additional benefits. The majority of opportunities are based in the Seattle/Bellevue area, but positions are available across multiple U.S. locations.
