Amazon Financial Technology Team is seeking a results-oriented software development engineer to create the next generation of distributed, scalable financial systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys complex business challenges. This role involves designing and developing services that facilitate global financial transactions worth billions (USD) annually.

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon, you'll work on real-world problems on a global scale, own systems end-to-end, and influence technology direction impacting millions of customers worldwide. You'll design flexible and scalable solutions, tackling complex large-scale computing challenges using data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a best-in-class customer experience by improving platforms, code, and services for global receivables
  • Building services/integration for Financial Applications
  • Designing and developing integration patterns for the system
  • Partnering with other SDEs, Technical Program Managers, Functional Analysts, and Customers
  • Defining high and low-level designs using the latest AWS technology
  • Implementing engineering best practices and improving operational practices
  • Driving architecture and technology choices for FinTech accounting products
  • Raising the bar on code quality, including security, readability, and maintainability
