Software Development Engineer, FinTech

Amazon Financial Technology Team is seeking a results-oriented software development engineer to create the next generation of distributed, scalable financial systems. This role involves designing and developing services that facilitate global financial transactions worth billions (USD) annually.

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon, you'll work on real-world problems on a global scale, own systems end-to-end, and influence technology direction impacting millions of customers worldwide. You'll design flexible and scalable solutions, tackling complex large-scale computing challenges using data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering a best-in-class customer experience by improving platforms, code, and services for global receivables
• Building services/integration for Financial Applications
• Designing and developing integration patterns for the system
• Partnering with other SDEs, Technical Program Managers, Functional Analysts, and Customers
• Defining high and low-level designs using the latest AWS technology
• Implementing engineering best practices and improving operational practices
• Driving architecture and technology choices for FinTech accounting products
• Raising the bar on code quality, including security, readability, and maintainability
