Description For Software Development Engineer, Fleet Tracking and Telemetry

Join Amazon's Fleet Tracking and Telemetry team, where you'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing logistics and transportation operations globally. This role combines hardware and software expertise to power Amazon's unprecedented delivery capabilities across land, air, rail, and sea. You'll work on cutting-edge technology including asset tracking, telematics, IoT, sensing and detection, safety, and process automation at scale.

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing systems that track Amazon's transportation assets and process critical telemetry data. The unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to work with both cloud and edge computing, creating software that operates across the entire stack. You'll be part of a diverse team of Hardware and Software engineers, working directly with internal customers in operations, planning, and transportation.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on location and experience, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on bonuses. You'll be working in Minneapolis, MN, as part of the Middle Mile Product & Technology team, where you'll have high ownership and responsibility for ensuring robust, quality, and accurate solutions.
