Software Development Engineer, Global Engineering Services

Global Engineering Insights & Software Tools (GEIST) at Amazon is seeking a passionate and talented Software Development Engineer to support innovative and mission-critical software tools. In this role, you will build and support complex software tools and data solutions with automations using AWS tech stacks. You'll have the opportunity to work on multiple AWS technologies, researching and identifying ways to improve customer experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing software solutions/tools to enhance speed, quality, and efficiency for various Amazon project teams.
• Working on tools and infrastructure challenges involving software, big data, and large-scale back-end cloud services.
• Collaborating with app developers, Data Engineers, SDEs, and TPMs to solve complex challenges related to software tools.
• Supporting existing software tools/infrastructure and building new ones for global teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Deep technical expertise and excellent leadership skills
• Interest in developing software, data & infrastructure solutions/automations
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage complex software products and translate business use cases into technical requirements
• Experience with building stable & scalable software and data solutions
• Comfort with diving deep into technical architectures and requirements
