Software Development Engineer, Health AI

AWS HealthLake (AHL) is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team. AHL is a HIPAA eligible service for ingestion, storage, and analysis of healthcare data that operates in CMH, IAD, PDX, and BOM regions. We allow hospitals, doctor's offices, insurance, and life sciences companies to manage, search, and run analytics on medical record data stored in AWS using the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard.

As a software developer in this role, you will:

• Work with peers to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Lead and influence the overall tech strategy for Search and Analytics.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software.
• Tackle challenging, novel situations every day and have the opportunity to work with large Healthcare customers.

Key job responsibilities: A SDE2 in AHL is able to independently contribute towards feature development and Ops excellence. The team also requires expertise to troubleshoot and solve a range of operational issues as we are seeing increased customer interest and commitments to onboard.
