Software Development Engineer II, AGI

The AGI team at Amazon is responsibly advancing the company's generative AI technologies, including its most expansive multimodal foundation models. As a Software Development Engineer II, you will lead a team of engineers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of innovative systems for data collection and processing. The role requires strong technical ability, great communication skills, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with Applied Scientists specializing in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Development and maintenance of core modules and services
• Working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software against aggressive schedules
• Collaborating with scientists and software engineers to evaluate technical feasibility, investigate design approaches, and prototype new technologies

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience programming in at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
