Software Development Engineer II, AWS Data Center Operating Systems

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're seeking a Software Engineer in Data Center Operating Systems to support our vision of providing the right parts to technicians at the right time for accurate and timely task execution. This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to hit the ground running. You'll collaborate with UX designers, product managers, customers, and other engineers to bring our software to fruition. Key responsibilities include:

• Owning, designing, building, and delivering technically challenging projects
• Growing more junior engineers and being a force multiplier
• Identifying operational challenges early in the system and driving operational excellence
• Contributing to and leading improvements in development processes
• Insisting on highest standards for long-term system extensibility and scalability

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
