Description For Software Development Engineer II, Customer Service Security - Identity

Amazon's CS Security - Identity Team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their mission of being Earth's Most Customer-Centric Company. This role focuses on building high-scale Identity services within Amazon Security, developing elegant Customer and Customer Service Associate (CSA) facing products. The team owns IAM technologies including Authentication, MFA, and authorization platforms.

You'll be working with a strong engineering team to solve complex authentication problems, ensuring data sovereignty, compliance with privacy regulations, and delivering excellent customer experiences. The role involves working with a modern tech stack including Java, TypeScript, and various AWS services.

Responsibilities For Software Development Engineer II, Customer Service Security - Identity

  • Build and own IAM (Identity & Access Management) technologies including Authentication and MFA
  • Develop role- and attribute-based authorization platform
  • Build access governance systems
  • Drive the next generation of Authentication for Customer Services Associates and retail customers
  • Maintain high-availability, low-latency services (Tier-1)
  • Work with AWS services including Fargate, DynamoDB, Lambdas, SQS, SNS
