This role focuses on developing technology for Amazon's human capital management, including critical systems for payroll, benefits, time and attendance, disability and leaves, hiring, immigration, learning, and health and safety. You'll be part of a team that powers the HR contact center supporting millions of Amazonians across 62 countries in 30+ languages.

As a Software Development Engineer II, you'll work on creating frustration-free HR experiences for employees, building scalable solutions that work across 60+ countries with varying regulatory requirements. Your work will directly impact every Amazon employee's daily life, from benefits management to HR service needs.

Responsibilities For Software Development Engineer II, Employee Services Tech

  • Invent, develop, integrate and migrate existing technologies
  • Extend and customize Amazon Platforms to meet customer needs
  • Identify problems and develop solutions for customers (employees)
  • Build solutions that touch each Amazon Employee
  • Develop solutions for benefits management and decision-making
  • Engage with cross-disciplinary staff to design innovative solutions
