Description For Software Development Engineer II, Employee Services Technology

Join Amazon's Amazonian Experience and Technology (AET) team as an SDE-II, where you'll play a crucial role in building and maintaining Amazon's human capital management technology. The position is within the Contact Channels Solutions team, focusing on developing tools for Amazon HR to handle live contacts via call and chat. You'll be responsible for full-stack development, system architecture, and building scalable solutions using AWS services.

As an SDE-II, you'll shape product features from conception to deployment, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with senior engineers on long-term architectural planning.   • Shape the definition, vision, design, roadmap and development of product features
  • Own full stack design and development of product features
  • Build scalable and efficient customer experiences using native AWS services
  • Mentor SDE-Is in the team
  • Partner with SDE-IIIs and Principal Engineers on 3-year architecture plans
  • Drive tradeoff decisions balancing long term vision with immediate customer impact
  • Create reusable processes and designs for team efficiency

Requirements For Software Development Engineer II, Employee Services Technology

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with design patterns, reliability and scaling of systems
