AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of Amazon's cloud computing operations, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure. This role is specifically within the Global Connectivity and Network Availability (GCNA) team, which forms the backbone of AWS's global network connectivity. As a Software Development Engineer II, you'll join a talented team working on critical infrastructure that connects AWS data centers worldwide and manages internet traffic flow.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with distributed systems at massive scale, building and designing complex backbone networks that ensure efficient data flow between Data Centers and customers. You'll be part of the Internet Edge organization, connecting Amazon to the global Internet through thousands of unique external networks across hundreds of locations worldwide.
This role combines technical expertise with leadership opportunities, as you'll be expected to mentor other engineers while working on cutting-edge cloud technologies. You'll collaborate with Network Development Engineers and Systems Development Engineers, building new services using AWS technologies and solving problems at scale.
