Description For Software Development Engineer II, PubTech

Amazon Ads - Publisher Technology (PubTech) is an innovative program building supply-side technology for content publishers across multiple platforms including Alexa, Prime Video, Twitch, Freevee, FireTV, and Amazon.com. The Publisher Ad Server engineering team is developing scalable ad serving mechanisms and the Publisher Ad Event Tracking System (PAETS).

As a Software Development Engineer II, you'll join a pioneering team building from scratch, working on critical publisher-focused systems that manage ad events, performance tracking, and monetization. You'll be responsible for developing highly scalable solutions that handle various types of reported events like impressions and clicks across different dimensions including ad types, device types, and deals.

The role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in ad serving, directly impacting customer experience and revenue. You'll be part of building an authoritative event management solution that provides crucial insights to publishers. This position combines technical challenges with business impact, as you'll help publishers optimize yield and maximize monetization through innovative solutions.

Java
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with design patterns, reliability and scaling of new and existing systems
