Software Development Engineer II, Software Development (Miracle Team)

AWS is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their Miracle Team, focusing on cloud computing solutions for U.S. Intelligence Community agencies. This role involves developing critical products that enable AWS to expand its global footprint and working with cutting-edge cloud technologies. The position requires expertise in distributed systems, data mining, automation, optimization, scalability, and security.

The role is part of AWS's expansion at their new headquarters in Northern Virginia, representing a $2.5 billion investment. This position requires a US citizenship and TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

The team is responsible for maintaining commercial parity in air-gapped regions, deploying features, and handling region build handover. Engineers work autonomously, build strong relationships with service team counterparts, and solve complex technical challenges.
