Software Development Engineer in Test II, Vizzini (FireTV Voice)

Voice for FireTV brings industry-leading Voice User Interface (VUI) to millions of customers around the world. Emerging technology space like AI/ML/LLM plays a key role in improving Amazon customer experience (CX) worldwide. To accomplish this, we partner with platform and services teams across FireTV as well as several teams across the Alexa org.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will:

• Drive key engineering features that impact Amazon's long-term vision on bringing the connected Alexa experience in the living room, supporting current and future generations of FireTV products.
• Develop, execute, and maintain production-quality test automation solutions (e.g. test framework and tools) used to test new products and experiences.
• Solve difficult software problems used to build, maintain, and improve product quality across devices, cloud services, and multiple locales.
• Build test software that exposes API defects in production level code as well as defects at the component and feature integration perspective.
• Work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, balancing Deliver Results, Bias for Action, Ownership, and Insist on Highest Standards.
• Potentially ship production features alongside SDEs, help QAEs build sustainable automation solutions/strategies, and provide automation, CI/CD, and BI solutions to partner teams.

You should have solid in-depth knowledge of on-device and distributed software development and testing practices, good understanding of operating system software, and knowledge of object-oriented design principles.

This role offers a competitive compensation package, with base pay ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on the geographic market. Amazon also offers equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
