Software Development Engineer, India Accounting Engineering

Amazon's India Consumer Business (ICB) Technology team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their India Accounting Engineering team. This role is crucial in building products and services that address unique accounting and finance needs in Amazon's fastest-growing marketplace. The team is responsible for automating and simplifying the booking of Financial/Accounting events across India and Emerging Markets.

As an SDE, you'll work on highly scalable systems using AWS and EC2, designing and implementing configuration-driven platforms that handle real-time business events and translate them into financial events. You'll be part of a high-performing engineering team that builds, scales, monitors, and optimizes platforms processing business and financial events.

The role offers unique challenges in launching new business initiatives in one of the fastest-growing marketplaces, handling millions of transactions daily while ensuring accurate financial reporting. You'll collaborate with various teams, including Fulfillment Services, Fees, Taxes, Retail Systems, and Financial Systems.

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with strong technical abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience in developing high-volume, highly available services. You'll need to balance technical leadership with business judgment in a fast-paced environment where time-to-market is critical.
