Description For Software Development Engineer, Kindle Reader Sync

Amazon is seeking exceptional, motivated software engineers for the Kindle Reader organization. As a Software Engineer, you'll take on an exciting and challenging role in a team innovating the Reading experience on Kindle mobile devices and services for millions of Amazon customers. You'll collaborate with world-class engineers, business leaders, and other talented engineering teams to design, architect, and code for Kindle Reader iOS, Android app, and E-Reader software.

You'll join a team developing a platform on which many other Amazon partner teams innovate their reader experiences. As a software engineer, you'll think big and drive architecture decisions for Kindle Library, cross OS development, app UX experience, and service integrations to deliver an awesome reader experience.

The ideal candidate is passionate, hard-working, and talented, with experience building mission-critical, high-volume applications that customers love. You'll be involved in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
