Description For Software Development Engineer, Kuiper Government Solutions

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Software Development Engineer in the Kuiper Government Solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining critical APIs and interfaces that connect Kuiper capabilities to US Government customers including NASA, DoD, and other National Security customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop forward-looking software services for mission-critical space safety and sustainability applications
  • Interface with the Kuiper network team to develop APIs using Software Defined Networking expertise
  • Demonstrate interface capabilities in simulated test environments
  • Lead internal and vendor teams in software development
  • Ensure systems meet both Kuiper and US Government performance requirements
  • Manage project health, risks, and stakeholder communication
