Software Development Engineer, MSP

Amazon's Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their innovative team that powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon's global fulfillment network.

The MSP Pack team builds and maintains core software and services in Amazon Fulfillment Centers that help pack items into packages for worldwide shipping. This role offers an opportunity to work on systems that touch every Amazon package, directly impacting customer experience through automated solutions that optimize the balance between technology and human operations.

As a team member, you'll own and deliver highly visible, innovative projects that directly influence customer experience. You'll drive technical and architectural vision for a core team, participating in all aspects of the software development cycle from scoping to delivery. The role involves building new software from the ground up, creating pragmatic solutions for complex business problems, and working closely with operations staff in Amazon fulfillment centers globally. The compensation package is comprehensive, ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year based on geographic location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and full benefits.
