Description For Software Development Engineer, NavX App

Join Amazon's Navigation Experience (NavX) team to innovate on one of the most visible features across Amazon's websites and apps. As a Mobile Software Development Engineer, you'll work on systems handling tens of thousands of transactions per second and billions of views daily. The NavX-App team is responsible for creating seamless navigation experiences that help customers find what they need efficiently. You'll work with components like the Hamburger Menu, Navigation Chrome, Storemodes, and Me Tab across all form factors.

The role involves building low-latency, highly resilient distributed systems at scale while working in an agile environment with daily deployments. You'll be part of a diverse, intellectually curious team that values innovation and customer-centric thinking. The position requires strong technical design skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

The team's mission is to serve as an indispensable guide for customers, helping them find what they need while staying unobtrusive when not needed.   • Build and optimize backend systems for scale and speed

Requirements For Software Development Engineer, NavX App

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience in mobile app development (iOS or Android or React Native)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
