Description For Software Development Engineer, Prime Video Financial Systems - Payment and Contract Onboarding

As a Software Development Engineer in the Prime Video Financial Systems team, you'll be shaping the future of movies and television by building world-class bespoke financial software to support our expanding Amazon Studios business.

Our mission is to provide frictionless on-boarding, management, and renewal of assets and associated contracts for Prime Video and Amazon Studios. You'll be developing and maintaining a system that efficiently handles large volumes of highly confidential financial data, including forecasting, budget management, accounting, and payments.

As a full-stack engineer, you'll work with a wide range of AWS technologies, designing, leading, delivering, and supporting solutions that solve business needs. Your responsibilities will include writing and reviewing design docs, coding, providing code reviews, troubleshooting problems, and providing solutions to unique business challenges.

You'll collaborate with multiple Amazon Studios teams to integrate financial data into our systems, automating processes, removing risks, and ensuring digital content providers are paid. This role directly impacts the titles Prime customers can see on Amazon.

Responsibilities For Software Development Engineer, Prime Video Financial Systems - Payment and Contract Onboarding

  • Design, lead, deliver and support technologies that solve business needs
  • Write and review design docs
  • Write code and provide code reviews
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions to unique business problems
  • Work on projects ranging from solo to multi-team, cross-regional initiatives
  • Develop and maintain systems handling large data volumes and highly confidential data
  • Ensure code conforms to high standards of accuracy and consistency

Requirements For Software Development Engineer, Prime Video Financial Systems - Payment and Contract Onboarding

Java
  • Experience contributing to architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Experience in professional, non-internship software development
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with full software development life cycle (preferred)
