Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The mission focuses on delivering fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. As a Software Development Engineer in the eCommerce team, you'll be at the forefront of building a next-generation platform that's highly scalable, fully automated, and always available.

The role involves working with critical e-Commerce software for Kuiper, developing solutions on AWS infrastructure, and implementing best practices for software development. You'll be responsible for building CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and monitoring systems. The team owns the complete customer lifecycle, including identity management, subscriber services, billing, and analytics.

  • Collaborate with engineers to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate critical e-Commerce software
  • Work on initiatives building e-Commerce functions on AWS infrastructure
  • Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring

Requirements For Software Development Engineer, Project Kuiper

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
