Software Development Engineer, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide global broadband access. This role is for a Software Development Engineer who will be instrumental in developing software applications and services for this advanced global telecom service. You'll be working on designing, implementing, and operating globally distributed systems for controlling, managing, and monitoring Kuiper's terrestrial devices.

The position involves working with cutting-edge AWS technologies and following industry-best software engineering practices. You'll be part of a team responsible for developing the frontend architecture and solutions for managing the complete customer lifecycle for telecom services. This includes identity and account management, subscriber management, user provisioning, billing and payments, customer support tools, and analytics.

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with device software, satellite, networking, and security engineering teams. The role requires expertise in building globally available distributed cloud architectures and ensuring UI compliance with accessibility standards. You'll be involved in every aspect of feature development, from ideation through implementation.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on geographic location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
