The Alameda team at Amazon is responsible for shaping the future of Control Planes for AWS Services. We build innovative and secure technologies on a massive scale that manage the control planes for AWS services, keeping them secure and scalable for customers. As a software development engineer on this team, you'll leverage modern technologies and AWS services to empower AWS service teams to be more productive.

The Alameda team centralizes the work of creating, maintaining, and improving Control Plane software, saving AWS teams significant development effort and cost. We automate the creation and maintenance of infrastructure and software for both the Control Plane and Data Plane of newly managed services. Alameda offers building blocks that fully abstract functionality as managed services, which can be extended to offer custom business logic for specific AWS Services.

We're looking for world-class software developers who can deliver solutions that solve business problems and delight customers with efficiency and productivity gains. You should have development experience with technologies like AWS, Java, TypeScript, CDK, and DynamoDB.

Our team values work-life balance, with core in-office hours from 10am to 4pm and flexibility around these hours. The position involves on-call responsibilities, typically once every 2 weeks. We prioritize constant improvement of our operational posture to minimize disruptions.
