Software Development Engineer, S3 Vertex

Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their S3 Vertex team, formerly known as the Request Shaping team. This role focuses on building next-generation services for Quality of Service and request balancing in S3.

The position involves working with S3 APIs that process hundreds of trillions of transactions monthly. You'll be responsible for building and enhancing services using distributed micro-services architectures, implementing expert knowledge systems, pattern recognition, and machine learning techniques to analyze and autonomously mitigate undesired behavior at S3's massive scale.

The role is based at Amazon's new headquarters in Northern Virginia, part of a $2.5 billion investment project that will create 25,000+ new full-time jobs.
