Description For Software Development Engineer, SCOT AIM Planning Capacity

The Amazon Capacity and Topology team is at the forefront of determining the strategic placement and specifications of Amazon's worldwide supply chain facilities. This role is part of the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) division, focusing on managing critical systems that handle capacity planning for Amazon's retail network. The team builds sophisticated in-house solutions using cutting-edge technologies in automated large-scale supply chain planning and optimization.

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll work on systems ranging from million-square-feet fulfillment centers with thousands of robots to inner-city Prime Now facilities. The role involves creating innovative solutions for complex capacity planning challenges, developing front-end interfaces, workflows, and advanced mathematical models using the latest technology frameworks and AWS.

The position offers an opportunity to work on high-impact projects that directly influence Amazon's multi-billion dollar facility investments. You'll be part of a team that's continuously improving and developing new game-changing ideas, resulting in sophisticated, intelligent, and self-learning models. Unlike companies that rely on off-the-shelf planning systems, you'll be involved in studying, designing, and building custom solutions tailored to Amazon's unique needs.

This is an ideal opportunity for engineers who want to expand their technical expertise while making a significant impact on Amazon's global operations. The role offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
