Software Development Engineer, UTR, Last Mile

Amazon's Last Mile delivery operation is seeking a Software Development Engineer for their UTR (Under The Roof) Tech team. This role focuses on building scalable tools and technology for delivery hubs worldwide. The position is part of the Pick and Stage team, responsible for developing outbound workflows and sort planning systems. You'll work on critical systems that optimize in-station sort planning processes using Science models for various programs including AMZL, Sub-Same Day, XPTs, and AMXL stations.

The role involves working with delivery station associates, station managers, and central operations teams to improve package sorting efficiency and delivery operations. You'll be developing solutions that help reduce cognitive load, standardize processes, and meet customer SLAs. The systems you'll work on directly impact the successful delivery of millions of packages daily through Amazon's global fulfillment network.

As a Senior Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership, establish standards, and drive Amazon's technical architecture. The position requires both hands-on coding and high-level architectural design skills. You'll be working on complex problems that require building scalable, high-performing systems that integrate well with Amazon's extensive logistics network.
