Software Development Manager, Amazon - Ads Sales Tech

Ads SE&I is responsible for designing and developing applications for enabling our advertisers to better leverage and benefit from Ads products. As a Software Development Manager for Amazon - Ads Sales Tech, you will create the vision for your team, develop your team, make important time investments in hiring, and define the technological roadmap by partnering with Principal Engineers and Product Managers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing teams that engineer key Ads technologies
• Evaluating complex business and technical requirements
• Creating vision and planning for timely delivery
• Influencing other teams and leaders outside your organization

This role requires a strong technical background in operating systems, software development, and systems development. You'll need excellent planning, operational excellence, and communication skills to adapt to different levels of audiences in the company.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of planning, designing, developing, and delivering consumer software experience
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an Agile environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience designing and developing large-scale, high-traffic applications
• Knowledge of engineering practices for the full software development life cycle
• Experience in communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching software engineers
