We are seeking a Software Development Manager for the Amazon Foundational Security Services (AFSS) team within AWS Security. This role involves leading the development of internal security services that support various Amazon businesses. Key responsibilities include:

• Building and managing a high-performing team
• Overseeing software architecture, development, operations, and strategic direction
• Working on services that are critical to the company's operations
• Designing and implementing new security features
• Deploying software through large automated systems
• Operationally supporting newly deployed software
• Collaborating with AWS teams to solve design problems and integrate applications

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 8+ years of experience leading multi-tier web services development
• Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Excellent communication skills
