Description For Software Development Manager, Vendor Supply Chain Optimization

The Vendor Supply Chain Optimization (VSO) team at Amazon is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a transformative initiative within Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT). This role focuses on optimizing vendor integration with Amazon's supply chain to drive sales growth and reduce inefficiencies, representing billions of dollars in opportunity. The position involves building a new platform that will revolutionize vendor integration with Amazon's supply chain, reducing costs by hundreds of millions while improving delivery speed and inventory availability worldwide.

The role requires leading a high-performance team with full-stack ownership across AI, ML, back-end, and front-end technologies. You'll be responsible for developing AI-enabled workflows and creating new efficiencies for both vendors and Amazon. A key aspect includes implementing new packaging capabilities that advance Amazon's sustainability goals and reduce carbon footprint at scale.

As the team leader, you'll shape technical and product roadmaps, collaborate with Amazon ops and Retail leaders, and deliver a transformative vision for the future of Amazon's supply chain. The position offers the opportunity to work with emergent technologies in Generative AI and AI native experiences while building strategic partnerships across product, UX, tech, and science teams.

The role combines technical leadership with people management, requiring strong skills in both areas. You'll be responsible for planning, sprint facilitation, architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and launches. The position offers competitive compensation, including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits, reflecting Amazon's commitment to total compensation.
