Amazon's Personalization team is seeking a Software Engineer II to revolutionize the shopping experience through advanced AI and recommendation systems. This role focuses on leveraging generative models and machine learning to enhance how customers discover products on Amazon.com.

The team's mission is to grow customer relationships by providing relevant and timely product recommendations through deep customer understanding. You'll work with large-scale computing resources to build and deploy text and generation models that directly impact the retail website experience.

As a Software Engineer II, you'll:

  • Collaborate with Applied Scientists to analyze customer behavior and build state-of-the-art recommendation models
  • Deploy and maintain models directly on Amazon's retail website
  • Participate in the Amazon ML community and mentor other engineers
  • Work on mission-critical, high-volume applications used by millions of customers
  • Make significant contributions to system architecture and design
