Amazon, a global leader in e-commerce and supply chain innovation, is seeking a Solutions Design Engineer for their EMEA fulfillment network. This role combines engineering expertise with operational excellence, focusing on optimizing and developing fulfillment center layouts and processes. The position offers unique opportunities to work across multiple countries, with up to 50% travel within EMEA.

Responsibilities For Solutions Design Engineer, Operations Engineering

  • Own the design and development of engineering solutions for complex material handling challenges
  • Lead and coordinate concept and design development efforts for optimal solutions
  • Work closely with vendors, suppliers and other teams to create innovative solutions
  • Manage high-visibility projects and tasks
  • Conduct post mortem on designs after implementation
  • Develop, document and update design standards
  • Build strong working relationships with key company partners
  • Travel up to 50% to interact with internal and external business partners

Requirements For Solutions Design Engineer, Operations Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Process Engineering or related STEM field
  • Extensive experience in Design/Innovation, Research & Development, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering
  • Experience with complex MHE and packaging lines or process design
  • Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
  • Experience leading engineering design projects
  • Fluency in English
