Amazon's Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) Central Services is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their global team. This role is crucial in maintaining and optimizing Amazon's sophisticated fulfillment operations infrastructure. As a Solutions Engineer, you'll be responsible for maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance of various systems including conveyors, sortation systems, and SCADA devices.

The position offers a unique blend of technical leadership and hands-on engineering work. You'll coordinate with Control Systems Engineers, work closely with multiple teams including FC Operations and Safety, and be responsible for troubleshooting complex material handling control systems. The role requires expertise in PLC systems, industrial networks, and automation technologies.

Responsibilities For Solutions Engineer - Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME), Automation Engineering Global RME Central Team

  • Coordinate and plan work activities for site Control Systems Engineers
  • Work with FC Operations, Engineering teams, and Safety in supporting MHE systems optimization
  • Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems
  • Monitor MHE metrics and analyze system performance issues
  • Act as first level escalation support for site Control Systems Engineers
  • Mentor CSEs, CSLs and CSTs within assigned building
  • Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes
  • Partner with Operations leadership for new technology installations
  • Communicate technical issues and project timelines
  • Travel up to 70%

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ Years of experience with automated Industrial equipment and PLC
  • 2+ years of designing or architecting Control systems experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, maintenance or engineering areas
  • Experience with Ethernet and industrial Control communication Networks
  • Ability to troubleshoot Structured Text Language applications
  • Spanish & English proficiency (spoken & written)
