Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, Global Logistics

Amazon's Global Logistics (GL) Cargo Integrity and Recovery Systems (CIRS) BI team is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to lead data initiatives that improve customer experience and reduce carbon emissions. This role focuses on optimizing Amazon's transportation network, which delivers shipments from fulfillment centers to customers worldwide. The position offers significant influence in a growing business area, leading all data aspects for the CIRS business unit and developing cross-functional cargo security strategies for US domestic inbound transportation.

The role combines technical expertise with business impact, requiring the ability to build foundational data pipelines, analyze large datasets, and create self-service dashboards. You'll work with a diverse set of stakeholders across regions and transportation modes, collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers. As a Sr. BIE, you'll be responsible for identifying gaps and opportunities for improvements, keeping leadership informed of progress, and mentoring team members. The role requires expertise in SQL, Python, AWS technologies, and a strong background in data science and machine learning. You'll be part of Amazon's Global Logistics team, which optimizes cost-effective flow throughout Amazon's inbound network while providing greater control, performance, and visibility.
