Description For Sr. Category Manager, Construction, Global Procurement Organization (GPO)

Amazon is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects within their Global Procurement Organization. This role combines strategic sourcing, project management, and construction expertise to deliver multi-million-dollar Operations construction projects. The position involves working alongside Construction category managers and partnering with Pre-Construction, Design and Construction, World Wide Real-Estate, and World Wide Design teams.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environment while maintaining attention to detail and process standardization. The role requires excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.

Key responsibilities include developing long-term sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving contractor sourcing and awards, and leading performance management initiatives. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $103,900 to $181,400 based on location, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical coverage.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals with a background in construction procurement and project management to join one of the world's most innovative companies.
