Amazon is seeking a Senior Category Manager for Retrofit Construction within their Global Procurement Operations (GPO) team. This role is integral to supporting retrofits, expansions, and initiatives across Amazon's global operations network. Responsibilities For Sr. Category Manager, Retrofit Construction, Global Procurement Operations (GPO)

  • Manage relationships with internal customers groups and ensure GPO is meeting their procurement needs
  • Create and execute category sourcing strategies
  • Lead cross-functional sourcing events
  • Negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts
  • Drive appropriate relationships with category suppliers
  • Manage category suppliers to proactively identify and execute opportunities
  • Develop and implement Supplier Relationship Management activities
  • Identify, achieve and report on savings and value targets
  • Travel up to 30% including occasional international travel

Requirements For Sr. Category Manager, Retrofit Construction, Global Procurement Operations (GPO)

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Construction experience including working with a General Contractor, Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC), trade contractor or similar
