Sr. Construction Cost Engineer, EMEA Construction Cost Control

The Data Center Construction Cost Control (CCC) team is part of a larger, highly creative and passionate team dedicated to deploying our continuously evolving Amazon data center facilities. As a Sr. Construction Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for providing cost support, guidance and recommendations to the Data Centre project delivery team to ensure cost management across a portfolio of fast paced construction projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging and managing third party Quantity Surveyors
• Validating construction cost estimates at various stages of design
• Working with multi-disciplinary teams, both internal and external
• Communicating cost control goals to all stakeholders effectively
• Identifying Value Engineering opportunities and quantifying savings
• Identifying project risks and financial cost impacts
• Updating repository for historical data
• Defining and tracking cost performance metrics and leading monthly cost reporting
• Analyzing vendor proposals using AWS benchmark data
• Creating accurate bid leveling documents
• Validating final award amounts and scope
• Implementing and executing cost control, change management, and performance reporting
• Validating construction change cost impacts
• Ensuring accurate and timely vendor invoices
• Supporting project close-out and final payments
• Delivering results for multiple projects with competing priorities
