Fire TV, an Amazon division, is transforming how millions engage with entertainment content daily. We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Fire TV Experience organization, focusing on leveraging data to enhance customer experiences. The role combines big data engineering with customer-focused solutions, working within a team of Business Intelligence Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists.

The position offers an opportunity to work on large-scale data systems using modern technologies like SQL, Python, and Spark. You'll be responsible for building scalable analytics and ML solutions, designing data architecture, and implementing robust ETL pipelines. The role requires expertise in big data engineering concepts and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

As part of the Fire TV Experience org, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights that directly impact product development. The team emphasizes building trustworthy data products that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions about Fire TV and Alexa products. The compensation is competitive, ranging from $139,100 to $240,500 annually, depending on location, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments.

Responsibilities For Sr. Data Engineer, FireTV Experience

  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, software developers, and business leaders to define data system requirements
  • Develop robust, scalable and maintainable data systems
  • Build with operational best practices (dashboarding and monitoring/alarming)
  • Design and implement durable data models for FTV datasets
  • Protect data to ensure customer trust

Requirements For Sr. Data Engineer, FireTV Experience
