Sr. Data Engineer, Global Demand Planning, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is an ambitious initiative by Amazon to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). As the founding Data Engineer in Kuiper's Global Planning team, you'll be at the forefront of building enterprise-grade data infrastructure that supports demand forecasting and capacity planning systems.

The role involves developing data products and ETL pipelines using AWS technologies like Glue, S3, Redshift, and EMR to handle complex geospatial datasets. You'll work closely with Data Scientists, Applied Scientists, and Engineers to create data assets for statistical modeling and system integration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing next-generation Data Architecture
• Building automated ETL pipelines for geospatial data processing
• Implementing data governance practices
• Creating data dictionaries and catalogs
• Providing technical guidance to data consumers

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $139,100 to $240,500 per year based on location, plus comprehensive benefits including equity and sign-on payments.
