The ideal candidate has 6+ years of data engineering experience, expertise in data modeling and ETL pipelines, and proficiency in languages like Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark) is preferred.

Responsibilities For Sr. Data Engineer, Global Procurement Technology
- Create data strategy and architecture to incrementally build data products
- Lead design and development of highly scalable database systems to support transactional use cases, as well as business analytics and reporting
- Design and implement AI-based data solutions
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data solutions, while striving for efficiency by aligning data product initiatives with business goals
- Cooperate with different groups of stakeholders to properly evaluate requirements and recommend optimal solutions
- Lead a team of data engineers to define data standards and best practices, share knowledge, develop their skills and support their career growth
Requirements For Sr. Data Engineer, Global Procurement Technology
- 6+ years of data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence or business analytics experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
- Experience building data products incrementally and integrating and managing data sets from multiple sources
- Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for best practices on data engineering
