Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering is seeking experienced Thermal/Mechanical Engineers to join their leading-edge product development team. As a member of the Hardware Engineering Mechanical/Thermal/Robotics (MTR) Engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing server platforms that power AWS's global cloud infrastructure.
The role involves working with cutting-edge server technologies, focusing on innovative cooling and mechanical solutions for large-scale server deployments. You'll collaborate with thought leaders across multiple technology areas, maintaining high standards for performance, quality, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities For Sr. Hardware Development Engineer, AWS HWEngS Thermal Mechanical
- Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems
- Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives
- Participate in cross-discipline design process with HW and SW team members
- Conduct failure analysis and solution validation
- Manage interaction with overseas resources
- Provide mentorship and technical reviews to mechanical/thermal design engineers
- Use engineering tools (CAD and thermal simulation)
- Participate in design reviews and vendor meetings
Requirements For Sr. Hardware Development Engineer, AWS HWEngS Thermal Mechanical
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- 7+ years experience in server technologies including thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity
- Experience with mechanical and thermal design for complex electronic systems
- Ability to design and validate systems to meet program objectives
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
