Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering is seeking experienced Thermal/Mechanical Engineers to join their leading-edge product development team. As a member of the Hardware Engineering Mechanical/Thermal/Robotics (MTR) Engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing next-generation server platforms that are critical to AWS's success. The role involves working with cutting-edge cooling and mechanical technologies for large-scale server deployments.

The position offers a fast-paced, challenging environment where you'll collaborate with thought leaders in multiple technology areas. You'll be part of AWS's Global Cloud Infrastructure, the most secure, extensive, and reliable cloud platform serving millions of active customers worldwide. Your work will directly impact development teams and customers globally, driving efficiency and cost savings while improving performance and reliability.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical and thermal systems, with experience in complex server products integration. You'll spend your time using engineering tools (CAD and thermal simulation), analyzing data, attending meetings with internal teams and vendors, reviewing test reports and designs, and making critical project decisions. The position offers competitive compensation based on location and experience, ranging from $128,600 to $213,600 per year, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments.

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams
