Amazon's Ring division is seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to join their Product Design (PD) team. Responsibilities For Sr. Hardware Development Engineer, Ring

  • Generate concepts and mechanical designs of new products in collaboration with ID team
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Partner with PM teams on product requirements
  • Manage and drive vendors for project finalization
  • Review & approve engineering drawings, DFM / tooling designs
  • Create CAD designs of new, unique and risky subsystems
  • Generate functional concepts and prototypes through a hands-on approach
  • Document ideas, issues, test results clearly and concisely
  • Work with vendors & partners on product design, simulation, and validation testing

Requirements For Sr. Hardware Development Engineer, Ring

  • BS minimum in Hardware Design Engineering or related field
  • Experience in designing consumer electronics products and/or consumer robotics
  • Experience with simulation software and simulation analysis
  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
