Description For Sr. Hardware Development Engineer/Signal Integrity, AWS Board Core Design and Services Team

This role within the AWS Board Core Design & Services team focuses on developing next-generation server components, with a particular emphasis on digital circuit board design and signal integrity.

As a Senior Hardware Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting and developing high-speed, complex PCB designs for server components, including motherboards, graphics, accelerators, and programmable hardware.

The role combines technical expertise in signal integrity analysis and advanced PCB design techniques with collaborative work across interdisciplinary teams. You'll be involved in the complete product lifecycle, from concept to large-scale production, working on solutions that optimize high-speed interfaces and ensure robust system performance.

Responsibilities For Sr. Hardware Development Engineer/Signal Integrity, AWS Board Core Design and Services Team

  • Own next-generation server components with focus on digital circuit board design and signal integrity
  • Design and develop high-speed, complex PCB designs for server components
  • Perform signal integrity analysis and optimization
  • Interact with interdisciplinary teams to design, develop, validate, and launch at scale
  • Optimize high-speed interfaces and ensure robust system performance

Requirements For Sr. Hardware Development Engineer/Signal Integrity, AWS Board Core Design and Services Team

Linux
  • BS Electrical/Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in embedded ARM, FPGA, and CPLD applications
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with high-speed PCB design
  • Strong proficiency in PCB design tools (Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent)
  • 7+ years of experience in high-speed interface design
  • Proven track record in impedance control, stack-up design, and power integrity optimization
  • 7+ years of experience in board root cause analysis
  • Experience with flash, I2C, SPI, UART, and ethernet interfaces
