Description For Sr HW Test Engineer, Amazon Robotics Hardware Test

Amazon Robotics is seeking a motivated and hands-on Test Engineer to join the hardware test engineering team. The role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering with readiness to work in mechatronics, robotics, fixture design and development, and test strategy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with program teams and development engineering to create test strategies to inform development and verify requirements.
  • Improving existing test methodologies, creating new techniques, and developing new fixtures and equipment.
  • Providing data to inform design decisions and ultimately verifying that all product requirements are met.
  • Designing and building new fixtures, helping to debug early prototypes, and developing new methodologies.
  • Working in an ever-evolving environment, requiring adaptability.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures. They should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, experience in new technology or product development, and proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).

Requirements For Sr HW Test Engineer, Amazon Robotics Hardware Test

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
  • Experience working in new technology or product development
  • Experience in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Design experience of simple parts, assemblies, and fixtures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Electro-Mechanical systems
  • Ability and desire to work hands on in lab environments
