Amazon's Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Foundations team is seeking an exceptional Senior Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead the development of cutting-edge multimodal AI systems. The compensation package is highly competitive, ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year, depending on location, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments. Responsibilities For Sr. Machine Learning Engineer, AGI Foundations
- Lead development of novel algorithms and modeling techniques for multimodal systems
- Pre-training multimodal LLMs
- Scale pre-training of machine learning models on GPUs
- Optimize training workflows using highly distributed training techniques
- Investigate design approaches and prototype new technology
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment

Requirements For Sr. Machine Learning Engineer, AGI Foundations
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 2+ years of expertise in Machine Learning and model training
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience with full software development life cycle (preferred)
