AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role combines expertise in HVAC and plumbing design with next-generation data center design on a global scale.
The position involves influencing all aspects of Mechanical design, construction, operations, and maintenance for AWS's global fleet of data centers. You'll work with internal and external teams to define, design, detail, and document various Mechanical features, including fire suppression, detection, and life safety systems. As an Owner, you'll ensure the Mechanical features protect people and keep customer data safe.
Key responsibilities include performing water supply analysis, coordinating system space requirements, providing detailed construction specifications, and reviewing designs across all disciplines. You'll serve as a subject matter expert, working with contractors and operations teams to maintain high standards of data center construction and operation.
